Nick Varon teams up with Deekay for a brace of tracks already championed by El Maestro. Sonic journeyman, Nick Varon has been a part of the Sudbeat family for many years. A passionate purveyor of progressive beats for over 15 years, and a legend of the Greek scene. His enviable back catalogue on seminal labels such as varied as Tale & Tone, Balance Music and Bonzai has seen him soundtrack clubs across the world. Fellow countryman, Deekay, has trodden a similar past. A DJ at heart, his love of Afro rhythms keeps his performances highly engaging, dynamic and soulful, blending tribal beats with contemporary sounds inspired by the vibrant culture and energy of the dancefloor. Opening with the spiky sounds of Cactus, those afro rhythms and tribal vibes make for a rich percussive framework. A slow burner, each element is given space to cause maximum devastation on the cooler floors of the underground. On Inyeon more pronounced tribalism harks back to the golden age of prog with a modern twist.
