New year, new art, same drive. Pakate Records opens 2026 with one of his grooviest releases to date. Exquisite, rich drum patterns are glued to perfection with a compelling texture of ethnic percussions, perfectly inlaid one into another. It could not be Ollie BC’s work. After playing his music for a while now, Jean Pierre finally met Ollie in his hometown, Manchester, thanks to FLETCH, and started chatting about signing him on the label. With carefully selected releases and a unique, highly recognisable style, Ollie has rapidly become a fan and DJ favourite, with releases on Organic Pieces, Two And A Half Cats, and RISQUE RECORDS, and now he makes his Pakate debut with the ‘4 Me’ EP. Three original tracks that shine with Ollie’s trademark groovy approach, as tribalistic vocals and wavy basslines pave the way for intricate rhythmic ramification, immediately catapulting us into a jungle of sounds and sensations.
