Behind the Techno (Peak Time / Driving) : Release Notes
Long time electronic legend Marco V joins forces with his son Thomas Newson for a new EP on Filth on Acid that brings plenty of low-end punch and electrifying synth work. Dutch pioneer Marco V brings decades of global club pedigree having played all over the world and shaped the sound of prog and trance for decades. Newson always adds his own modern energy and has had plenty of chart success, and together they are on top form with this one. Vibr8 is an atmospheric sound with magnificent synth craft reaching to the skies, buoyant kicks and a melancholic edge that makes it all the more impactful. It Gets Better is full of main room energy with screwy synths rising up through rock solid kicks. Emotion comes for the vocal stabs while drum fills and filters ramp up the pressure to make sure the dancefloor will go wild once the drop comes. This is a cross-generational collaboration that bridges classic and contemporary electronic sounds.
