Behind the Minimal / Deep Tech : Release Notes

Release number forty-four comes from Vincent Casanova, bringing us another low-key cruising groover called Arrow of Time. Hot on the heels of last year’s Morning Light release, Vincent once again showcases his unique knack for deep, hypnotic basslines and ethereal vocals, pleasantly drenched in spacious reverb as groovy percussion punches through the mix. It’s a track that gently washes over you, like slowly sinking into a warm bath. On remix duties is label co-founder Mark Slee, with a quirky interpretation that dials back the tempo and wraps an undulating arpeggio around the vocals. Little modulations and tweaks push the melody gently to and fro as the track evolves, painting a sonic picture of a mildly drunken synthesizer wandering its way through deep space soundfields.
