Behind the Electronica : Release Notes
HGD47 marks the third album by Lazly Bateman on Humanoid Gods and his long-awaited return to the label after a deep phase of perceptual and sonic transformation. Registration of this release reflects a convergence of cognitive waveforms emerging from an elevated state of consciousness within the artist. Recent internal shifts have fully reconfigured the way waveforms emerge from his new hardware setup, now operating as a direct interface between human perception and an astral field. This work manifests as an expanding atmospheric system, a sonic cycle following non-linear logic, akin to cosmic structures in continuous formation. Rhythmic architectures oscillate between IDM, broken beat and techno new tribe deviations, like signals intercepted near unstable gravitational fields. The entire album moves under a recurring meteorological condition: the presence of a cloud as a perceptual threshold, a veil separating what has already emerged from what is still condensing within the signal. From this layer, sound descends and liquefies, becoming a fine rain carrying non-linguistic information, states of change rather than fixed events. In this descent, rhythm takes the form of irregular, intermittent precipitation, as if time itself cannot stabilize. At moments, the system enters a suspended state, a zone of light sleep where consciousness loses definition and synchronizes with non-terrestrial frequencies. From this state emerge sudden air movements, winds that distort rhythmic structures as if originating from uncharted orbits. Further along, the field aligns with a lunar source, a distant reflection that does not illuminate but alters perception, amplifying the sense of presence until it approaches entity-like form. In this zone, sound no longer represents, it signals. Everything eventually converges into an extreme atmospheric compression, where all elements condense into a single point of sonic pressure, as if the entire system were being drawn toward an acoustic singularity. Waveforms are intercepted. Each track acts as a transmission originating from a non-localizable region of cognitive space, where time and sound share the same structure. HGD47 marks the return of Lazly Bateman as a mutation of artistic language: a signal regenerating from a higher orbit, where sonic perception coincides with the very shape of consciousness.
