The Milanese duo Complementary Minds, composed of Luca Ferrara and Michele Fallabrino, continues to redefine their own sonic boundaries with their latest release, King of Korea, the third single from their second full-length album, Complementary Minds Vol. 2. This track is a homage to the extraordinary talent of Jazz legend Chick Corea, whose innovative spirit left an indelible mark on both artists. The inspiration for this single comes from a moment of shared musical curiosity between the pair. One day, Michele lent Luca Chick Corea’s iconic record Friends, a seminal Jazz-Fusion masterpiece and that album, with its intricate interplay of rhythm and melody, captivated Luca, sparking the idea to absorb and recreate some of its sonic essence through their unique lens. At the time, the duo were diving deep into Fusion music, drawing inspiration to shape the sound of their second album. King of Korea showcases the versatility that has become a hallmark of Complementary Minds, blending elements of Electro, House and Hip-Hop.
