20 years in the making and five tracks born from a friendship and a studio in Marseille – Jeff’s debut EP on Groovence Records, Rooted in Chicago and Detroit house, the EP moves between jacking grooves built on 909s, proper basslines and vintage organs, and darker UK techno territories reminiscent of Underworld, featuring producer and label founder Moonee on two tracks. Expect the unexpected: a daft vocoder duck, whale field recordings, harmonic brass and strings – serious music that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
