Berlin-based producer Philippa launches new series Panther Cuts with a two-track EP exploring the space between deep musicality and dancefloor functionality. “Second Nature” is a hypnotic, piano-led house track built around looping motifs, vocal stabs and haunting strings. “Motion State (feat. Séna)” shifts into warmer territory, pairing a rich Juno-106 bassline with fluid vocals and jazz-informed phrasing from Berlin vocalist and producer Séna. The accompanying dub strips the track back to its essential groove. Following releases on respected labels including Freerange Records and Local Talk, Philippa continues refining a sound rooted in analogue texture, musical depth and human feel.
