Behind the Techno (Peak Time / Driving) : Release Notes
“Electric Wave” brings Spartaque and As Ide into the same frame, not as separate projects, but as two sides of the same instinct pulling in different directions. Released on Codex, the track explores the space between techno discipline and the sharper edges of electro house, without settling fully into either. The production is intentionally physical. Distorted synth pressure, rigid low-end movement and a vocal that cuts directly through the centre of the arrangement give the track a confrontational character from the outset. Yet beneath the aggression sits a clear sense of control. Even at its heaviest moments, the structure reflects Spartaque’s long-standing approach to techno, tension managed carefully, energy never wasted. Rather than following current trends too closely, “Electric Wave” feels like an experiment pushed far enough to become its own language. The electro influence adds colour and unpredictability, while the techno foundation keeps everything locked into motion. It is a track built less around genre identity and more around impact, direct, loud and deliberately uncompromising.
