Behind the 140 / Deep Dubstep / Grime : Release Notes
Untold returns to home soil following collaborations with Parris on ORO and a remix earlier in 2026 for Bruce’s Poorly Knit label. This five track EP compiles minimal bassline thumpers with densely layered melodic spectral workouts. ‘Prince Rupert’s Drop’ opens with ghostly chimes dropping into spiky garage underpinned with a brooding organ riff. ‘Perfect And Here’s Why It Matters’ swings against a nagging two note piano motif before breaking into a lush keyed reflection. ‘Good Shoelaces’ lifts ambience from 1970’s cop thriller soundtracks and sets them in Mass circa 2006. ‘It’s Not My Fault But It Is My Problem’ is a sci-fi tech-step influenced roller gliding on thick bass stabs reminiscent of ‘Gonna Work Out Fine’. ‘Dogfooding’ closes the EP with a dark, sub-aquatic, semi-beatless bass excursion.
