Moodyverse celebrates its 20th release with Cyklus 02, the label’s second various artists compilation and its most complete statement to date. 9 tracks, 11 artists, every direction the label is moving in right now. Baime and Denes Toth open with ‘Lamia’, a slow-burning groove that takes its time before it hits. The build is deliberate, the drop worth every second of the wait. Nairo follows with ‘Liaison’, mysterious and energetic in equal measure. It has the kind of lift that makes a room feel weightless. N3ur3N brings ‘Position’, a fresh and uplifting production with a sound that keeps moving forward. Nothing predictable, nothing wasted. Justrice delivers ‘Orgasm After The Chase’, all rolling bass and arpeggiated effects pushed to the limit. Pure Justrice: relentless, precise, unmistakable. Saintbull strips things back with ‘Pattern’. Minimal, focused, and exactly as much as it needs to be. Fran Bonetti and Nita return to the label with ‘Neverland’, a hypnotic groove machine that locks in and does not let go. A natural continuation of what they started on Moodyverse. Villano lifts the energy with ‘Move’, a catchy, vocal-driven track with genuine summer feeling. The brightest moment on the compilation and one of the most immediate.
