Sweet Motion [Sound Avenue]
Behind the Deep House : Release Notes
Following an impressive debut EP on Sound Avenue earlier this year, Aeikus returns to the label with Sweet Motion, a refined three-track collection that further highlights the artistic vision of Brazilian producer Athos Araujo. Building on the momentum of his 2025 releases, including appearances on both Sound Avenue and our Crossfade Sounds imprint, Aeikus continues to establish himself as one of the more exciting names emerging from the deeper side of electronic music. With more than a decade of studio experience, Athos has steadily developed a distinctive sound where deep techno, hypnotic grooves and subtle dub-infused textures come together with effortless flow. Alongside releases for Refraction Records, Mixcult Digital, Hoomidas and many other respected underground imprints, his music has recently found growing support from legendary tastemaker John Digweed, further underlining the strength and consistency of his productions. The Sweet Motion EP sees Aeikus at his most confident to date. Opening with the immersive atmosphere of Circular Feeling, the release unfolds into the warm, driving title track Sweet Motion, before closing with the emotive and introspective Too Far From Home. Each production showcases his ability to balance groove, melody and atmosphere while maintaining the understated elegance that has become a hallmark of his sound.
