For the 27th instalment of Big Trouble Records, Cryme steps in with a hypnotic overload of house holiness. Thumping, breakbeat-influenced drum patterns attach to Detroit synths, stabs, and pads. Ziegelstr. is home to the studio and former headquarters of Berlin-based label Seven, run by Cryme and ultimately the meeting point between Cryme and Big Trouble’s head honcho Andre Zimmer, culminating in Cryme’s release on the label. Throughout its length, The EP nods to Detroit and early UK house whilst planting itself firmly in the core of what Berlin stands for today.
