The Bantu Calling EP is the 2026 edition of Searching for Paradise, an annual collaborative project born out of Africa Rising Music Conference (ARMC). Designed to create meaningful pathways between African artists and global creative opportunities, the project uses music, collaboration and cultural exchange to build bridges between Africa and the world.nnThis year’s edition is led by UK-based Nigerian artist, producer and HARUNA, whose work explores the connections between African musical heritage and contemporary electronic music. Across four tracks, the EP brings together a diverse collective of collaborators, including South Africa’s DarkFace and vocalist Thuso Wa Sibini, alongside Obe380 and a special remix contribution from Mr. Norble Guy.nnThe project is anchored by the collaborative title track, Bantu Calling, which brings together artists from different backgrounds and influences, alongside Saturn Return, an original composition from Haruna that further explores the EP’s themes of movement, identity and connection. Completing the package is Mr. Norble Guy’s reimagining of Bantu Calling, offering an alternative interpretation of the project’s central ideas.nnDrawing inspiration from South African house and 3-Step, Angolan rhythms and UK club culture, Bantu Calling celebrates the creative possibilities that emerge when artists are given the opportunity to collaborate across borders. Released on Paradise Sound System, the EP is both a reflection of Africa’s rich musical legacy and a statement of its continued evolution and global influence.
