Maithree returns to Sounds Of Sirin with ‘Nomad’s Symphony,’ a two-track EP born from a sense of in-betweenness, the feeling of belonging everywhere and nowhere at once. Navigating life between cultures, cities and sonic influences, Maithree built this release around two chapters of that journey, exploring motion, memory and the subtle beauty of fleeting moments. The fusion of jazz, organic house and South Asian influences running through ‘Nomad’s Symphony’ isn’t a stylistic choice but a reflection of lived experience: carrying your roots with you while constantly evolving. ‘Raindrops’ features Point Pedro, adding a further dimension to the EP’s sense of place and movement. An emerging force in the progressive and organic house scenes, Maithree has spent years experimenting across genres before settling into his current sound, balancing deep, hard-hitting grooves with uplifting melodies on releases for 3rd Avenue, AH Digital, Symmetric and Balkan Connection, among others. Known for supporting local talent and contributing to the growth of Sri Lanka’s electronic music scene, he made his debut as a live performer with Stereo Culture before building a reputation behind the decks. Point Pedro brings a decade of experience to the collaboration, having played at venues across Singapore including Here Kitty Kitty and The Exchange, with international guest spots at Cocoon Beach Club and Ayana Rock Bar in Bali, and more recently across Sri Lanka’s Down South circuit at venues including Kai Beach Club Weligama and Kurundu.
