ILLUSION Recordings, the techno imprint founded by Polish-born, Germany-based DJ and producer Klaudia Gawlas, announces its debut compilation sampler – a four-track showcase of the label’s uncompromising vision: techno without compromise, rooted in underground culture and real dancefloor energy. Miami-based Colombian producer Alex Ocampo opens with ‘Daisugi’ – a track built on granular synthesis and heavy analog saturation, moving from deep, hypnotic atmosphere into raw, driving peak-time energy. Belgium’s Megane Brescich delivers ‘Closed Circuit,’ a voice-led, glitchy industrial piece where cybernetic textures and the phrase ‘I can’t disconnect’ define its cold, hypnotic identity. Sweden’s MarAxe draws on Irish folklore for ‘Banshee’ – a driven, groovy cut featuring the Roland TR-8S and Behringer Edge, as fierce and mythical as its namesake. Closing the sampler, Sao Paulo’s KLBR presents ‘Nihal,’ named after a star 160 light-years away – a dense, hypnotic bassline suspended between the concrete and the abstract.
