KIRIK – BUSY LINE Kirik kicks off the road to his forthcoming Cecille album MEANING with its first single, ‘Busy Line’. Having firmly established himself as part of the Cecille family over recent years, Ukrainian DJ and producer Kirik returns with a track that shows a slightly different side to his sound. Following the success of his Hug EP and his recent collaboration with Hector Couto on the label, Busy Line marks the first glimpse into his next and biggest project with Cecille. Bright, playful and instantly catchy, Busy Line carries a warm, sun-soaked energy with a more accessible, slightly pop-leaning touch than you might usually expect from Kirik. Kirik’s signature groove runs right through it, pairing rolling house rhythms and plenty of swing with an infectious hook that sticks from the first listen. Landing as the Ibiza season moves into its closing weeks, it’s a record made for that particular moment when summer isn’t quite ready to call it a day. Easy-going enough for the sunshine, but with enough weight and groove to work when things move onto the dancefloor. And while Busy Line opens the door to what’s coming next, it deliberately doesn’t give the whole game away. The single is something of an outlier on MEANING, with the forthcoming album digging deeper into Kirik’s house sound and showing a much broader range of his production. ‘Busy Line’ is out now on Cecille Records, with Kirik’s full MEANING album following in just a few weeks.
