Sam Paradise launches a new boutique House label, Paradise Traxx. Best known for his A&R work for Miura Records and theBasement Discos (Beatport Hype Label of the Year 2024), Sam will focus on supporting the musical development and career of select artists on his new imprint.
For the first release on Paradise Traxx, the label founder steps up with his dreamy, yet uplifting up-tempo House track “Free Me”.
With its warm, lush synth pads, live recorded funky bass guitar and slightly jazzy electric guitar solos, groovy percussion and drum breaks, Sam has created a track reminiscent of the sound of the early 90s Balearic House and Italo House scenes, while making it ready for today’s clubs and festivals.
While the Piano Mix is built around catchy, nostalgic piano chords played on the late 80s synth classic Korg M1 that drive “Free Me” forward, the Club Mix takes a more stripped-back approach, swapping the piano chords for a fat and slightly cheesy lead synth.
All in all, “Free Me” is a club-oriented, somewhat melancholic House track which perfectly matches the vibe at the end of Summer, making you wish these long, sunny days could last forever.
