The second remix chapter from “The Skin of Time” by THE ILLUSTRATED MAN focuses on “Dance of Shadows”, featuring the collaboration with Sasha Carassi and the enigmatic voice of Aquarius Heaven. This new release brings together two prestigious producers, Alan Dixon and Toto Chiavetta, each offering a completely different interpretation of the original. Alan Dixon delivers the fresher, more groove-driven and acid-infused version. The first part of the remix is built around a persistent synth that immediately gets under your skin, gradually building tension before exploding after the break. From there, an irresistible acid melody takes over, bringing all the energy and character that have become part of Alan Dixon’s signature sound. On the other side, Toto Chiavetta takes “Dance of Shadows” into a completely different dimension. His unmistakable style transforms the track through sharp, dark and deeply textured sounds, creating an enigmatic and conceptual atmosphere. Italian DJ and producer Sasha Carassi, real name Sossio Capasso, hails from Naples and founded Phobiq Recordings. He produces peak-time driving techno and melodic house, releasing on Bedrock Records, Renaissance Records, and Octopus Recordings since 2010.
