Full Range Motion co-founder 393AD returns to his own label with Known Universe EP, providing four more introspective modular-based jams using Perkons as the main rhythm box. The Amsterdam-based DJ, producer, and nightlife devotee opens the EP with Void a percussive, rolling, and fluttering cut. Cluster, on the same side, is a devious tool in the right hands with its abstract groundwork and overwhelming single stab 3D sound design. Over on the flip, Wall is straitjacket paranoia-techno in stripped form. Closing this EP is Filament, the name itself providing a vivid cosmic image for the track: intertwining, spiralling melodies connecting filmic scenes of interstellar dust.
