Six years into Waswotsch Music, we finally get a solo release from our co-founder and deep house artist Andaloop. The music is meticulously crafted by recording live takes from an extensive collection of hardware instruments and sending them through an elaborate outboard analog summing chain. This time-consuming procedure has now yielded two groovy deep house tracks that transition from the beach to the club, from summer to autumn. ‘Smiling Face’ feels like a balmy late summer day, with synths in bikinis and chords dipped in ice cream, while a cool breeze hints at soon to be falling leaves. ‘Tribute 122’ is a homage to the legendary Detroit DJ, producer and educator Mike Huckaby, quoting Mikes charismatic voice and sound design. Michal Ho contributes a jacking Late Night Dub of ‘Smiling Face’.
