Ancient Future: 9-Track Bass / Club Release

Behind the Bass / Club : Release Notes

Ancient Future is a stop on an ongoing quest of sample creation, manipulation, recombination, and morphological transformation through the modular synthesizer. nDensely interconnected sound matter moves between islands of respite in a sea of incomprehensibility, grasping but not yet arriving.nThe ancient future is a place. It is the meeting point between the light piercing through the dark, fragmented state of our present reality.nThis album is an attempt to materialize this place in sonic form.nBana Haffar (www.banahaffar.com)nPrincipal founder of The Beirut Synthesizer Center in Beirut, Lebanon [Recipient of the Goethe Institut 2021 Weaving Ties Grant, and The Mowred Cultural Resource Grant for 2023] nCo-host of “Long Wave w/ Bana Haffar and Mike Harding” monthly radio show on Dublab, Los Angeles.nCo-founder of Modular on the Spot in Los Angeles California
