Behind the House : Release Notes
Kubbla Records opens with About The Music – Ubblahkan and Mr. V on a solid house record built around a single idea: the room, the record and nothing else. The original takes its time. A deep, rolling groove holds the first half before the drums fall away entirely and Mr. V’s infectious vocal carries a long, near-bare breakdown – the part where the message truly lands. It rebuilds into the fullest piano track and rides out on the groove it came in on. A DJ record and a listening record, in that order. Art Of Tones takes the other route. His remix is tighter, warmer and an added dollop of disco: a clean, mixable intro, a bass-led groove that never lets go, filtered lifts and that big Mr. V vocal. no ceremony, straight to the floor. House music, for the people who still turn up for it.
