Behind the Bass House : Release Notes

Nopopstar marks a return to Warbeats Records on 16 October 2026 with the three-track Machine EP. This collection showcases the Moscow-based producer’s distinct Bass House style through a trio of tracks focused on floor-ready energy. Nopopstar enters this release with a career record that includes 153 charts and over 2.1M streams across platforms. The EP opens with ‘Machine,’ which utilizes elastic sub-bass and punchy sub-hits to establish a foundational groove. ‘Turo’ follows with its set of syncopated hat work and a rolling percussive cadence, accented by a sliced vocal lead. The final track is ‘Machine’, featuring a remix by ZatroMinic that introduces a wobbling mid-bass and a muscular bassline for a snappy groove. Nopopstar has been active since 2011 and maintains a catalogue that includes 506 Beatport DJ charts and 47 Beatport charted tracks. ZatroMinic, the project of Brazilian producer Carlinhos de Barros, joins the project with his own career history of over 13K Shazams and over 61K streams. Both artists have previously contributed to the Warbeats discography, establishing a recurring presence on the label. This release follows two previous appearances by Nopopstar on the label, including the ‘Everybody EP’ and ‘Merry Christmas.’ ZatroMinic also continues his history with Warbeats Records, returning after his inclusion in the Shockline, Vol. 3 collection. These artists solidify their roles within the current Warbeats catalogue through this collaborative project. A DJ would slot this EP into the middle of a set to leverage the 2-step infused swing found in the original tracks. The remix by ZatroMinic provides a heavier, more technical option for transitioning into deeper segments of a dance floor session. These three tracks are specifically engineered to maintain momentum during a Bass House set, building on the artist’s history of 228 total supports on 1001Tracklists.
