Phantom Power EP: 5-Track Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) Release

Behind the Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) : Release Notes

TUTU Recordings welcomes Sheffield-based artist OMNS to the label with Phantom Power EP, his debut release on TUTU and a distinctive exploration of sophisticated, dancefloor-focused techno. Built around a hardware-driven production approach and shaped by OMNS’ experience with live club performance, the EP combines functional rhythmic structures with an unusually detailed sonic palette. Hypnotic grooves and stripped-back arrangements are punctuated by delicate textures, unexpected shifts and flashes of colour that occasionally reach beyond techno, subtly drawing from the warmth and depth of house music. Rather than relying on conventional formulas, OMNS approaches club music with a strong sense of personality. Each track balances physical impact with intricate sound design, allowing small details to emerge and evolve while maintaining a clear connection to the dancefloor. With Phantom Power EP, OMNS delivers a highly original and refined debut for TUTU — techno made for movement, but with enough depth, detail and character to exist far beyond pure functionality.
