Behind the Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) : Release Notes

Morfema takes its title, and its five track names, from linguistics: morpheme, euphemism, oxymoron, acronymy, antiphrasis, words concerned with how meaning gets built, softened, and reversed. The material started as a live set developed at the end of last year; this EP reworks it into something else entirely, but keeps its instincts intact.nnFive tracks of hypnotic, modular synth work, patient and low-slung, built for a dancefloor that is willing to take the time for the sound to evolve. Mostly hardware, patched and re-patched, recorded in long unbroken takes, a document of something that happened once, translated rather than composed. nnCatalogue: FLN002nWritten and produced by Philipp de CastronMastered by Amaury Hocquet at Random PrecisionnArtwork photography by Philipp de Castro
