Behind the Deep House : Release Notes
Tough Love returns with ‘Fade’, reconnecting with the deeper, more emotive side of his early sound. A subtle nod to the deep house influences that shaped his productions back in 2011, ‘Fade’ blends lush R&B-inflected chords with intimate spoken-word vocals, creating a sense of tension and anticipation before giving way to a weighty, bass-driven drop. Built around contrast, the track moves between vulnerability and release. Warm, soulful textures giving way to a darker club energy. ‘Fade’ is Tough Love at his most emotive, bringing together the melodic sensibility of his earlier work with the punch and low-end impact of his modern sound.
