VYAPI, an Acid Techno DJ and producer from Bangalore, India, makes his debut on UNION III with “Acid in Red,” a two-track EP built around the 303 acid bassline that runs through all of his work. Following the momentum of “Convolutions” on Oliver Huntemann’s Senso Sounds, VYAPI delivers two contrasting cuts. The title track is a high-energy peak-time weapon, driving, high energy with heavy low-end pushing toward a surprising, transcendent drop. While “High Note” shifts the mood, an instrumental piece that pairs a piano-centric melody with a euphoric lift designed for the closing stretch of the night.
