Behind the Progressive House : Release Notes
Movement Recordings welcomes back Aaron Suiss for his highly anticipated first solo EP on the label, presenting the powerful two-track release ‘Aura’, alongside a remix from label regular Weird Sounding Dude.nnOriginally from Washington D.C. and now based in Thailand, Aaron Suiss has built a respected presence within the global progressive and melodic house scene. Since his earlier label appearances, the Outta Limits A&R and Label Manager has consistently championed cutting-edge sounds while cultivating an impressive production discography. Known for a sonic philosophy that prioritizes emotional connection as much as dancefloor momentum, his music has found homes on prestigious imprints such as Einmusika, Global Underground, Steyoyoke, and Desert Hearts Black. These releases have rightfully earned him support from industry heavyweights including Hernan Cattaneo, Miss Monique, and Tale Of Us.nnOpening the release is ‘Stimulations’, a driving progressive house journey built around rolling grooves, expansive atmospheres, and hypnotic melodic themes. Rich sonic textures and an undulating bassline create a powerful narrative, balancing peak-time energy with cinematic depth. The companion piece ‘Withdraw’ explores a deeper, emotionally charged direction. Fluid rhythmic pulses, intricate percussion, and deeply emotive synth layers gradually unfold into an immersive club-effective experience, highlighting Suiss’s meticulous sound design and flair for festival-sized dynamics.nnReturning to the label to provide the lone interpretation of ‘Stimulations’ is Weird Sounding Dude. As one of India’s most celebrated progressive house exports, the Bangalore-based artist has compiled a stunning discography spanning over a decade, with standout releases on Anjunadeep, Sudbeat Music, The Soundgarden, and Hoomidaas. A regular fixture on Movement Recordings, Weird Sounding Dude reshapes ‘Stimulations’ with his signature cosmic design and groove-centric hypnotism. Emphasizing muscular kick drums and deconstructed melodic elements, his rendition dials into a tougher framework while maintaining an atmospheric tension that carries through to a thunderous, heavily arpeggiated finale.nnWith Aaron Suiss delivering a masterful return and Weird Sounding Dude providing a timeless interpretation, ‘Aura’ stands as a high-impact addition to the Movement Recordings catalog, destined to leave a lasting mark on global dancefloors.
