Behind the Electronic : Release Notes
The Niceguys are back with another slice of neo-soul and funk goodness in the form of ‘All About (Me)’. Their impeccable musicianship is once again on show, with horns, keys and guitar licks built around a swinging groove that evokes shades of 90s Acid Jazz without ever sounding dated. To add that extra special sauce, the boys sought out Bristol (by way of Liverpool) based Carys Abigail, who showcases exactly why she is fast becoming known for her soul-infused vocals and dynamic lyricism of the highest calibre. This one is special. Real music from the heart. Carys: “The song is an invitation to reflect and take stock of just how far you have come. It’s about giving energy back to yourself. My hope for this one is that it helps people fall in love with themselves again!”
