Behind the Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) : Release Notes
Around the World in 80 Days Inspired by Jules Verne’s timeless novel Around the World in 80 Days, this dub techno compilation translates the spirit of exploration into sound. Across 10 carefully crafted tracks, the journey of the protagonist Phileas Fogg is reimagined through deep atmospheres, hypnotic rhythms, and evolving textures. Each track represents a different country visited along the way, capturing its essence through sonic landscapes rather than words””subtle echoes of distant places, shifting environments, and the passage of time. From the mechanical pulse of urban centers to the expansive calm of remote territories, the compilation unfolds like a continuous voyage. The concept was created by Francesco Tamburrano and brought to life through collaboration with Superordinate Dub Waves, a label specialized in dub techno. Together, they shape a cohesive listening experience designed to be heard from start to finish””an immersive trip that mirrors the narrative tension and global scope of Verne’s original story. This is not just a collection of tracks, but a journey””one that invites the listener to travel without moving, guided only by sound.
