Behind the Techno (Peak Time / Driving) : Release Notes
Danny Fontana, Annie Hill and rising Italian DJ/producer Armian join forces on EXHALE, a two-track EP that brings together big-room power and underground intensity. With Hill contributing both vocals and production, and Zafer Atabey delivering his own interpretation on remix duties, the release explores two distinct expressions of dark, peak-time techno. The original, “EXHALE feat. Annie Hill,” hits hard at 136 BPM, driven by a commanding kick-and-bass foundation built for large systems. Its direct, physical energy opens into an epic breakdown, adding a different dimension to the tension before the full force of the groove returns. Unapologetically geared toward mainstages and big rooms, it balances weight and drama without losing its dancefloor purpose. On the second cut, Zafer Atabey keeps the tempo locked at 136 BPM but shifts the emphasis toward the underground. Preserving the original’s dark character, his remix channels its energy into a heavy, club-focused weapon. Where the original reaches outward with scale and spectacle, Atabey’s interpretation draws the pressure inward—a darker setting for the same relentless drive. EXHALE [EP] presents two perspectives with a shared identity: built to command all platforms from the big stages up to underground floors.
