Behind the Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) : Release Notes
19 tracks. 21 artists. One living territory. Tierra Viva is a compilation born from a moment of rupture, but built around the idea of connection. Following the 7.4-magnitude earthquake in Colombia, Tepuy Records brings together 21 artists from across the international electronic music community to raise funds in support of humanitarian relief and the people affected by the disaster. The title speaks to Colombia as a living territory a land shaped by movement, transformation and immense natural forces, but also by its people, its culture and its extraordinary relationship with rhythm and music. Tierra Viva features 21 artists who have helped shape electronic music and are somehow connected to Colombia and the sound aesthetic of Tepuy What unites them is not simply their reputation, but a genuine relationship with a place that has given so much back to the electronic music community. The earth moves. So do we. A living land. A moving community. A way for underground culture to stand beside Colombia when it matters. All proceeds from Tierra Viva will be directed towards humanitarian local support for communities affected by the earthquake in Colombia.
