µ-Ziq

µ-Ziq is the electronic project of Mike Paradinas, who originates from Wimbledon in the UK and began the project in 1992. Initially formed as a duo with Francis Naughton handling bass duties, µ-Ziq became Paradinas' solo venture in late 1993 when Naughton departed. Paradinas operates his own Planet Mu label, which serves as the primary home for his releases.

His sound spans IDM, jungle, and experimental electronic territories, with recent releases appearing on Planet Mu and Balmat between May and December 2025. The project moves fluidly between ambient textures and bass-heavy club tracks, incorporating elements of house music alongside his established IDM foundation. His seven releases in 2025 demonstrate a continued evolution from his early 1990s experimental roots, maintaining the project's core electronic and jungle influences while adapting to contemporary club contexts.
