16 Bit Lolitas

16 Bit Lolitas are a Dutch progressive house duo from Amsterdam consisting of Peter Kriek and Ariaan Olieroock, who began producing together in 2003. The pair established their own label Bits And Pieces in 2007 and have operated under aliases including MK Ultra Project and Lost Orchestra. In January 2019, they rebranded as 16BL, shortening their original moniker which was initially spelled "16 Bit Lolita's" in Dutch before becoming "16 Bit Lolitas."

Their sound spans deep house, progressive house, and tech house, with occasional ventures into peak time techno and electronica. The duo releases primarily on Anjunadeep, where they have maintained a presence from 2010 to 2017 across 16 releases. Their productions blend the melodic sophistication of progressive house with the rhythmic drive of tech house, creating tracks that work across both peak time and afterhours sets. The evolution from their earlier trance-influenced work to more contemporary house formats demonstrates their adaptation to changing dancefloor demands while maintaining their Dutch production sensibilities.
