a Universe of me

a Universe of me operates as a group project featuring members Rainer Bloss, Moses Schneider, Gabi Becker, Julie Ocean, and Andreas Schwarz-Ruszczynski. The project was assembled by Marian Gold as a live alternative to Alphaville during the late 1980s and early 1990s when that band wasn't performing live. The group performed two documented concerts in 1987 and 1991, with Gold describing 1991 as "a year of transition and estrangement" during which he recorded extensively.

The current electronic incarnation of a Universe of me produces raw, deep, and hypnotic techno alongside peak time driving variants. The project has released 5 tracks between March and November 2025 on labels Hitherto and Diffuse Reality Records. Their sound spans the spectrum from contemplative hypnotic techno suitable for deeper sets to driving peak time material that works in main room contexts.
