Abakus

Russell Davies operates as Abakus from London, producing electronic music since 2010. The British artist also records under the aliases Cinnamon Chasers and Aiiso. Davies is the son of Dave Davies, one of the founders of The Kinks.

Abakus creates downtempo and dub-influenced electronica that spans progressive house, tech house, and deep house territories. The project has released music on Anjunadeep, one of the scene's most respected labels for melodic electronic music. Davies incorporates psychedelic and balearic chillout elements into his productions, alongside electro influences that add club-ready energy to his otherwise chill-focused sound. His music balances atmospheric textures with dancefloor functionality, making it suitable for both home listening and DJ sets that require deeper, more contemplative moments.
