Above & Beyond

Above & Beyond is an English electronic music group formed in 2000, consisting of Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki. Grant and Siljamäki originally met at Westminster University and launched the Anjunabeats label in summer 1999. The trio came together initially to complete a remix of Chakra's track for WEA. They have operated under several aliases including Tranquility Base, Tongue Of God, and Rollerball throughout their career.

The group releases music across trance, progressive house, melodic house & techno, and dance/pop genres primarily through their own Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep labels. Initially producing strictly trance music, Above & Beyond gradually evolved toward progressive trance and house sounds, occasionally incorporating downtempo and ambient elements. Their sound spans from main floor trance to more underground progressive house territory, with vocal trance remaining a core component of their output across both of their label imprints.
