Afterlife

Afterlife is the project of British producer Steven Gordon Miller, who operates under the aliases Steve Miller and Kid Stone. Miller has established himself as a chillout producer and remixer since entering electronic music, collaborating with vocalists including Danni Minogue and Cathy Battistessa, as well as chillout DJs Chris Coco and Pete Gooding. He participates in collaborative projects Lux with James Bright and The Normalities with Chris Coco, the latter taking a dub-chill approach. His work has appeared on compilations including Cafe Del Mar.

Miller's Afterlife releases span organic house, downtempo, house, electro, and electronica across labels Subatomic UK and d:vision. His catalog features six releases between April 2021 and December 2024, demonstrating consistent output over recent years. The project's sound encompasses both the deeper, organic textures associated with downtempo and chillout music, as well as the more rhythmic elements of house and classic electro, reflecting Miller's background in remix work and collaborative productions with established figures in the UK's chillout scene.
