Alter Ego

Alter Ego is a German electronic duo consisting of Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke, formed in Darmstadt in 1993. The pair met at the indie rock club The Golden Crown in Darmstadt in 1992 and established their collaboration the following year. They operate under several aliases including Acid Jesus, Sensorama, and Supreme Truth, with their first tracked release appearing in February 2015.

Their sound spans techno, house, and melodic house & techno, incorporating elements of minimal/deep tech and dance/electro pop. The duo produces both peak time driving techno and more ambient-leaning compositions, drawing from downtempo and ambient house influences alongside harder electroclash elements. Their tempo range varies significantly across releases, moving from deeper minimal productions to high-energy peak time material suitable for main room DJ sets, with their most recent output extending through 2025.
