Alton Miller

Alton Miller is a Detroit-based house DJ and producer who began his career in the early 1980s after befriending Derrick May during the city's formative electronic music years. Growing up in Detroit during the 1970s, Miller absorbed influences from Motown, Philadelphia soul, Parliament-Funkadelic, and Santana before transitioning to electronic music production. He cites Chicago DJs Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles as primary influences on his mixing style. Miller also produces under the aliases Aphrodisiac and Man Friday.

Miller's sound spans deep house, tech house, afro house, and progressive house across 26 releases since his debut in June 2010. His productions appear on respected labels including Quintessentials, Rawax, Local Talk, Waella's Choice, and Makin Moves. His tracks typically maintain the deeper, soulful aesthetic rooted in Detroit's house tradition while incorporating contemporary tech house elements and African percussion patterns.
