AMP Fiddler

Joseph Anthony Fiddler, known as AMP Fiddler, was an American keyboardist, producer and songwriter from Detroit who began his electronic music career in 2017 at age 59. Born May 17, 1958, Fiddler studied jazz with Harold McKinney in Detroit and toured with R&B group Enchantment before transitioning into house music production. He released music under the alias Amp Dog Knight and passed away December 17, 2023.

AMP Fiddler produces house and deep house tracks that draw from his Detroit funk and soul background, creating DJ tools and Afro house cuts for the club circuit. He releases on major house labels including Defected, Sound Signature, and dirtybird, with six releases spanning from 2017 to 2024. His productions blend funky house grooves with deep house sensibilities, reflecting his jazz training and decades of experience in Detroit's music scene. The tracks function as both dancefloor weapons and showcases for his keyboard work, bridging classic Detroit soul with contemporary house production.
