About
Anchoret is a Canadian electronic music artist who began releasing music in March 2024. The project is helmed by James Knoerl, who has established a presence across multiple electronic music labels within his first year of activity.
Anchoret produces raw, deep, and hypnotic techno alongside electronica and house tracks. His releases appear on Solar Phenomena Music, PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB, and MixCult Digital, with five releases spanning from March 2024 through December 2025. The sound ranges from driving techno rhythms to more experimental electronica textures, positioning the project within both dancefloor-focused and listening-oriented electronic music contexts.
