Andre Salmon

Andre Salmon is a DJ and producer from Guayaquil, Ecuador, who also operates under the alias Merac. He launched his recording career in November 2014 and has since released 105 tracks across various electronic music platforms through December 2020. Salmon runs his own imprint Anima Somnis, which he established in 2014, and serves as A&R for Arritmia, a label operated by Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson.

Salmon's production style spans tech house, deep house, and minimal/deep tech, with recent ventures into melodic house and techno territory. His releases appear on established labels including Material, Repopulate Mars, Resonance Records, PIXELATE, and Sagmen. His sound typically operates in the 120-128 BPM range for deeper material and extends into 128-132 BPM for his tech house productions, maintaining a groove-focused approach that balances rhythmic precision with atmospheric depth. His catalog demonstrates a progression from stripped-back minimal compositions in his early releases toward more melodically complex arrangements in his recent melodic house and techno work.
