ASC

ASC is James Clements, a UK electronic music producer now based in San Diego, USA. Clements began DJing while in school and wrote his first productions in 1997. He launched Covert Operations Recordings in 2000, operating it until 2009, before establishing his current label empire including Auxiliary in 2010, Veil in 2012, Diode in 2013, Spatial in 2022, and Waveforms in 2023. He also records under the aliases Intex Systems and Mindspan, with 42 releases documented since his first official release in May 2012.

ASC's sound spans peak time and raw hypnotic techno alongside deep house and electronica, releasing on respected labels including Auxiliary, Horo, ARTS, Silent Season, and Semantica Records. His techno productions range from driving peak time tracks to deeper, more hypnotic compositions, while his catalog also explores ambient dub and drum and bass territories. The breadth of his label operations reflects his diverse musical output, with each imprint focusing on different aspects of his electronic music spectrum from club-ready techno to experimental ambient works.
