ASEC

ASEC is Nathan James Yates, a German-based techno producer who launched his recording career in October 2022. He operates his own ASEC imprint alongside his production work, establishing himself as both an artist and label owner within two years of his debut release.

His sound spans raw, deep, and hypnotic techno through to peak-time driving cuts, with 14 releases distributed across his self-titled label, OECUS, Counterchange Recordings, bpitch, and Float Records. ASEC's catalog extends beyond traditional four-to-the-floor structures into 140 BPM territory, incorporating deep dubstep and grime influences into his after-hours focused productions. His releases on Ellen Allien's bpitch imprint demonstrate his ability to navigate both underground techno circuits and more established electronic music platforms.
