Astro is a deep house producer from Edinburgh operating under his real name Alistair Johnson. He began releasing music in October 2019 with his debut on Lost Palms, establishing himself within the Scottish electronic music scene over the past five years.
Astro produces deep house and melodic house & techno that spans hypnotic and raw techno territories. His six releases have appeared on Lost Palms, Three Hands Records, Houseum Records, and Piff Records, with his most recent output arriving on Piff Records in April 2024. His sound moves between deeper house grooves and more driving techno elements, positioning him within the melodic house movement while maintaining connections to rawer underground techno styles.
