About
Atapy is the stage name of Arpi Takacs, an electronic music producer from Targu Mureș who operates from Bucharest, Romania. He also performs under the alias Arpad Takacs and began releasing music in December 2010. Between 2010 and 2016, Atapy released 17 tracks across various electronic music labels.
Atapy produces deep house, tech house, peak time techno, and house music, with his catalog distributed through Cimelde and Chapter 24 Records. His sound spans the deeper, groovier end of house music as well as driving techno designed for peak-time dancefloor moments. The Romanian producer's six-year active period from 2010 to 2016 demonstrates a focus on dancefloor-oriented productions that bridge the gap between underground house and more driving techno territories.
