AVIRA

AVIRA is the progressive house and melodic techno alias of Canadian DJ and producer Youhanna Assaf Guirguis, who also releases under the names Assaf and Agent Dark. The artist launched the AVIRA project in July 2020 with releases on Armada Music, establishing a presence in the melodic electronic music scene with 14 releases documented through 2025.

AVIRA's sound centers on melodic house and techno with crossover elements into dance pop, operating primarily through Armada Music's various imprints including Armada Electronic Elements, Armind, and Odd One Out. The project also appears on Spectrum (NL), indicating a focus on the progressive and melodic house spectrum that typically ranges from 120-128 BPM. The music maintains the emotional depth characteristic of progressive house while incorporating the driving elements of melodic techno, making it suitable for both peak-time club sets and more contemplative listening sessions.
