Barbossa

Barbossa operates as part of the Madrid-based duo Sparrow & Barbossa, formed by Swiss producer Bryan Coletta and Uruguayan producer Emiliano Haberli. Coletta brings classical training as a pianist from a musical family—his father Francis Coletta worked as a guitarist with Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, and Frank Sinatra. The duo began releasing music in July 2018 and has produced 12 releases across a six-year period through March 2024.

Their sound centers on Afro House and Melodic House & Techno, with releases distributed across multiple respected labels including MoBlack Records, Wired, Cacao Records, Connected Frontline, and Hurry Up Slowly. The duo's productions blend African-influenced rhythms with melodic house structures, creating tracks that work effectively in both peak-time and warm-up sets. Their consistent output across established house music imprints demonstrates their ability to adapt their sound to different label aesthetics while maintaining their core Afro-melodic approach.
